Op. Dr. Şefika Aksoy breast surgeon with Level One and Two oncoplastic breast surgery certification

Op. Dr. Şefika Aksoy graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. After fifteen months of mandatory service at Sinop SSK Hospital she specialized in general surgery at SSK Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital between 1992 and 1996.

From 1996 to 2018 she served as a general surgery specialist at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital, where her work centred on breast disease and oncological breast surgery. She holds Level One and Level Two certification in oncoplastic breast surgery, the discipline that combines oncological safety with aesthetic reconstruction of the breast in the same operation.

Since March 2018 Dr. Aksoy has been a general surgery specialist at Avrasya Hospital in Gaziosmanpaşa, Vivid Clinic's partner hospital. She is passionate about patient education and makes sure each patient fully understands her condition and options. She attends national and international conferences, has authored medical publications, and consults in Turkish and English.
