Op. Dr. Turgay Yıldız general surgeon in colorectal, endocrine, breast and minimally invasive surgery

Op. Dr. Turgay Yıldız completed his medical education at Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine (2005–2011) and began his career in primary care at Van Özalp State Hospital and family health centres in Van (2011–2014). He then specialized in general surgery at SBÜ Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey's leading tertiary referral centres, completing his residency between 2014 and 2019 with high-volume exposure to acute abdominal, colorectal, trauma, breast and laparoscopic surgery.

After two years as a general surgery specialist at Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital (2019–2021), he joined Avrasya Hospital in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, in 2021. His clinical interests are colorectal surgery (appendicitis, anorectal disease, colorectal pathology), endocrine and breast surgery (thyroid and parathyroid surgery, benign and malignant breast disease and reconstructive approaches in breast cancer surgery), trauma and emergency surgery, and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery aimed at shorter recovery.

Dr. Yıldız earned the Turkish Surgical Society Qualification Board written-exam proficiency certificate in 2018 and is a member of the Turkish Surgical Society, the Turkish Colon and Rectal Surgery Society, the National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Society and the Turkish Medical Association. He has completed advanced courses in endocrine, colorectal and reconstructive breast cancer surgery and presented orally and by poster at national scientific meetings. Within the Vivid Clinic network he provides patient-focused general surgical care to local and international patients.
