Which procedure do I need for a tired-looking face?
It depends on where the change comes from. Hooded lids and under-eye bags point to blepharoplasty. If lifting your brows with your fingertips opens the eyes, a brow lift may help more. Jowls, a softened jawline and deep folds point to a deep plane facelift. Your surgeon looks at your photos and explains the cause before suggesting anything.
How many days should I plan for face aesthetics in Istanbul?
It depends on the procedure. Dimple creation needs 2–3 days and buccal fat removal 3–4 days. Blepharoplasty needs 6–7 days, a fox eye lift about 7 days, and rhinoplasty or a brow lift 7–8 days. A neck lift needs 7–10 days, and a deep plane facelift 10–14 days. Combined procedures follow the longest stay, and your surgeon confirms you are fit to fly.
Can I combine more than one facial procedure?
Often, yes. A facelift and neck lift are commonly planned together, and blepharoplasty can be combined with a brow lift or fox eye lift. Buccal fat removal can also be added to other facial surgery, under general anaesthesia. Your surgeon decides whether combining is sensible for your health and anatomy. A combined operation takes longer and may mean a longer stay.
When can I go back to work?
Most people return to desk work within 1–2 days after dimple surgery and 2–5 days after buccal fat removal. Allow 7–10 days after eyelid, brow or fox eye surgery, and 7–14 days after rhinoplasty. A neck lift needs about 10–14 days, and a deep plane facelift about 2–3 weeks. Strenuous exercise waits longer, as your surgeon advises.
Who is a good candidate for facial surgery?
Good candidates are healthy adults with realistic goals who do not smoke, or who can stop fully around surgery. A stable weight helps too. Uncontrolled blood pressure, diabetes or a bleeding disorder must be managed first. So must blood thinners that cannot safely be paused. Rhinoplasty waits until the nose has finished growing, usually from around 16–18.
Are fillers, threads or Botox an alternative to surgery?
For mild concerns, sometimes. Filler can camouflage a small nasal hump for a while, a toxin brow lift lasts about 3–4 months and threads usually last months. When will I see my final result?
Swelling settles at different speeds. Eyelid results settle over about 2–3 months, and a brow lift or fox eye lift by around month 3. Buccal fat removal and a facelift settle over 3–6 months. A neck lift takes 3–6 months, with some refinement up to 12. Rhinoplasty takes about 12 months, and longer with thick skin.
